Look closely at sauces and small additions
Vegan food excludes animal-derived ingredients, including those hidden in dressings, pastry and desserts. A vegetable bowl may still contain honey, butter or fish sauce. Read the full composition and look for an explicit statement from the restaurant or manufacturer. A vegetarian label is not enough to establish that a dish is vegan, particularly when cheese or eggs appear only among optional toppings.
Choose variety across recurring deliveries
For several lunches, rotate preparations instead of ordering the same salad repeatedly. Lentils, chickpeas, tofu and grains offer different textures and can be selected around individual tastes and needs. A changing menu requires another ingredient check with each order. Vegan labelling does not establish allergy safety: soy, nuts and cross-contact remain separate questions to discuss with the kitchen when relevant.
