Reconstruct the price of the whole evening
A per-person figure may be subject to a minimum charge or apply only to one menu. Ask for the total for your actual party, including ingredients, time on site and travel. Wine, tableware and waiting staff may be separate. A useful comparison uses the same duration and level of service rather than matching two headline prices.
Price any change before accepting it
An extra guest, unusual ingredient or late finish can alter the offer. Clarify supplements, deposits and cancellation conditions before paying. The quotation should also assign responsibility for kitchen equipment. A detailed document provides a sounder basis for a decision than a broad price range whose inclusions are unknown.
