Train for the risks encountered on the actual route
Relevant training depends on the duties: driving, lifting, food handling or contact with vulnerable recipients. A refrigerated van and bicycle delivery involve different constraints. Ask the employer about induction, required checks and record keeping. Knowing a procedure is useful only when the worker can apply it with the equipment and conditions encountered during a real round.
Match a course to the intended job
A food-hygiene module is not a driving licence and does not replace every requirement applying to a catering business. Read the course objectives, intended audience and assessment method. Supported meal rounds also require communication and escalation procedures. Compare the programme with a specific vacancy rather than choosing solely because a course title mentions delivery.
