Build an Italian meal beyond pizza
Antipasti, filled pasta, lasagne and slow-cooked dishes offer several ways to plan an Italian meal. Establish what arrives ready to eat and what still needs cooking. Fresh pasta from a delicatessen may be uncooked, whereas a restaurant dish comes prepared. The recipe name and the sales format therefore need to be read together before choosing between apparently similar offers.
Identify extras in the final basket
Parmesan, bread, sauce and dessert are not automatically included in a set meal. Review the basket description before payment and identify any sharing portions. Labels help distribute similar-looking recipes among several diners. For pasta, travel time and the professional’s serving instructions are more useful than a broad promise that the texture will remain exactly as it left the kitchen.
