Check ingredients that are less visible in the dish
The absence of pork in a photograph does not explain the entire preparation. Stocks, cured meats, fillings and sauces may require questions to the cook. Specify whether this is a food preference or a particular requirement so that the answer fits your needs. A pork-free menu is not automatically a religious certification, whose criteria and oversight must be examined separately.
Choose a clearly identified meal combination
Some home-meal services offer a pork-free selection, while restaurants may let you choose specified recipes. Review starters, accompaniments and desserts as well as the main dish. For multiple recipients, request consistent labels and agree acceptable substitutions. That organisation avoids having to reconstruct the menu’s composition when people are already opening similar-looking trays at the table.
