Plan meals before returning home
After hospital care or illness, the practical need may be easy-to-prepare meals for a few days. Arrange the first delivery and useful portion count without automatically imposing a diet. Instructions received at discharge or during follow-up should guide any adaptations. Give the supplier only the information necessary to implement those requirements and confirm what its service can actually provide.
Choose arrangements that can change during recovery
A temporary service should explain starting, pausing and stopping conditions. Check quantity flexibility if appetite or available help changes. Opening packaging and reheating may need assistance separate from meal delivery. When eating becomes difficult or requirements evolve, contact the care team instead of independently changing a prescribed texture or meal composition to fit an available commercial menu.
