Separate the eating date from the delivery date
A service may provide Sunday food by bringing it earlier in the week. Conversely, a restaurant normally open may close or shorten its menu on a public holiday. Check the handover date rather than only the days listed on the menu. This determines who must be at home and how much space is needed for several portions.
Prepare for periods when the normal routine changes
Festive periods and long weekends can alter order deadlines and delivery rounds. Request the special calendar early and plan a suitable backup meal. Confirmations should show the correct address and date. If someone else receives the delivery, make sure they understand storage and reheating information instead of leaving containers without instructions for the recipient.
